Our membership is made up of people from all walks of life who have professed faith in Christ, have been voluntarily baptized by immersion, and are seeking to live in accordance with God’s Word.

We asked members of our congregation. . .
“How has First Baptist Church of Troy impacted your life?”

“We came to First Baptist Church of Troy 19 years ago as newlyweds.  We had already visited several churches and thought we’d “try” this one out. On our first Sunday, three couples invited us to go out with them.  Their kindness made such an impression on us that we decided this is where we wanted to stay. Pastor Harding was instrumental helping us as a new couple work through some difficulties.  Over the past 19 years he has invested in our family’s lives and helped us grow in our walk with Christ.  We are grateful for our Pastor and our church family.”

“Eighteen years ago our family pursued a selfish life while personally we were really without peace, joy, or meaning.  Then life took a U-turn when God led us to First Baptist Church of Troy (FBCT) and His amazing grace granted us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.  Since then our family has grown spiritually through the preaching and teaching ministries of FBCT.  We now pursue God’s will for our lives and lead a joyful, peaceful and meaningful life for God’s glory.”

“The First Baptist Church of Troy family has truly been our family. They have been an encouragement to us during the time of our twin boys’ premature birth and finding out that the younger one was severely disabled. Besides knowing that God was/is in control and has a plan for our family, our church family has helped us through the difficulties through prayers, encouragement, crying with us, personal stories, visits, babysitting, etc. We are so grateful that we are a part of this church and are thankful that our children can grow up hearing God’s word.”

“Being saved out of Mormonism First Baptist Church of Troy has been instrumental to our family in receiving proper theological training. Having the personal challenge of clearing the cobwebs of false teaching from our minds, we have found Pastor Harding and the Pastoral Staff to stand true to Biblical doctrines and principles. This place has been such a blessing to us just knowing that we can come and worship our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ and find sanctuary from a world lost in sin and in need of God’s love, mercy, and saving grace.”
