About the presentation …

From the darkness and hope of Advent to the light and joy of Christmas, The Christmas Light captures the varied colors of Christmas in fresh tones. With a blend of classic carols and rich new songs, this cantata moves the service from darkness to light, vividly illustrating the hope of Christmas through music and the spoken word. Miraculously conceived, Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, and ministered in Galilee and Judea. This One who is fully God and fully man offered His life for all humanity as the payment for Our sins.

Christmas celebration reminds us of all that God through Christ has done to make possible our reconciliation back to God, our forgiveness of sin and our hope of eternal life. “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor 5:21 ESV).

Come join with us as together we rejoice in God’s salvation made possible through His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Christmas Light is presented by the Choir & Orchestra of First Baptist Church of Troy under the direction of Mr. Benjamin Dawley.

The Christmas Light is written by Benjamin Harlan and is published by Hal Leonard.

Nursery provided for children 4 years old and under for both evening presentations.
