About the presentation …
Throughout history, names and titles have held immense importance as a fundamental part of personal identity. A person’s name or title may communicate something about their heritage, culture, family, social status or authority. These are not just labels but a vital piece of who someone is and where they come from. This is not more true than when applied to the one sent from God to be the Savior of men, Jesus. His name, communicated from the Spirit of God and assigned by his human parents, means “God saves.”
But throughout Scripture, many more names and titles are connected to the God-man Jesus. In the Christmas story, he is the Word, the desire of every nation, Immanuel, the Son of David, the son of the highest, the son of God, Messiah (the Christ), the Lord and King. He is the one sent from God to bring salvation to men. He is the only way to God. “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Come join with us as together we rejoice in God’s salvation made possible through His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
