General Information
Children are a welcome and important part of our ministry at First Baptist Church of Troy. We recognize that it is often during this time of life that the Gospel seed is first planted.
Sunday School
We invite you to entrust your little ones to our care so that they can worship the Lord and learn His Word through age-appropriate curriculum in a small group classroom setting. The teacher for each grade-level class leads the group in song, verse memory, and a lesson from God’s Word.
Sunday School classes meet at 9:00 am and children are arranged into the following groups according to grade:
- Primary (1st-2nd)
- Middler (3rd-4th)
- Junior (5th-6th)
The Middler and Junior departments also have additional activities scheduled a couple times a year.
Children’s Church
On Sunday mornings during the worship service, our children, ages five through third grade, have a special service geared for their understanding of Biblical truths and attention span. This service provides for the children the opportunity for worship through singing songs of praise to God and listening to the preaching of the Word.
Expeditions is an exciting and adventure-filled children’s program designed for three years old through the 6th grade. Expeditions places a strong emphasis on missions, scripture memory, and developing Christian character. Throughout the year, the children learn what missions is and ways that they can support missionaries around the world right now.
Expeditions meets during the months of September through May on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Each Wednesday night is filled with games, skits, competitions, scripture memory, and a special lesson from God’s Word.
